Top Networking Questions #15

How do I nurture my Network?

Buidling relationships is like spinning plates.  In this short video Dave Clarke of NRG shows you how to nurture your key network relationships:

You nurture your network by helping and supporting the people within your Network.

I often say to people that networking is really about making friends in business and friends help and support each other.  Here are some  examples of nurturing your network:

    • Providing help to somebody
    • Referring them
    • Sharing with them some interesting information you've found
    • Connecting them with other people in your network

All those things are helping to nurture your network.

I don't think you can do that randomly and expect the best results.  You really have to do that in line with a CRM Customer Relationship Management system.

Build a Keep in Touch strategy.  Talk and interact with the right people at the right intervals to make sure that you are doing the right things that help nurture the relationship.
