Top Networking Questions #2

Why do people find Networking valuable?

If you are struggling to find where's the value in networking don't worry.  In this short video Martin Davies of NRG shares the top three reasons why business people find networking valuable:

Let me tell you the results of a survey we ran amongst our members recently.  We asked them what was their most valuable business asset; what they valued most if they had to start from scratch again.  Apart from their skillset they voted overwhelmingly for their personal network.

They also confirmed the top three reasons as to why people network.

When we started running networking events many years ago the main reason was route to market - a cost effective way of getting new business introductions.

It is increasingly about support. It can be lonely running a business and it is great to be in a community of like-minded people to share business ups and downs.

Finally, and rather counter-intuitively in this world of information overload, people want access to trusted information. They want to get advice from people they trust.

    Key Learning Points:

    • Personal Network most valuable Business Asset

    • Top Reasons why people network
    • New business introductions
    • Support (it’s lonely)
    • Trusted information
