How do I build my Network?

 

    If you don't know how to go about building your network here's how to start.  In this short video Martin Davies of NRG takes you through the steps needed to build your personal network:

     

    The short answer is by making friends in business.

     

    People do business with those they know, like, rate and trust. The key to doing that is building trust and like making personal friends it takes time.

     

    Here are the key steps:

     

    • Find like minded people - who swim in the same pond
    •  

    • Do I get on with them (rapport)?
    •  

    • Get to know them better (121s)
    •  

    • Get to rate what they do (experience, testimonials)
    •  

    • Get to trust them
    •  

    Over time you will build a small circle of what we call Advocates – people who know, like, rate and trust you to the point that they go out of their way to introduce you to the right people.

     

    The important thing is to find a networking environment that works for you that allows you to build those friends in business.
