Think on your feet and prosper. Here’s how:

My last blog discussed two tips for improving your ability to think on your feet. Now I’d like to cover two other linked skills… Ready?



Don’t be that person

We all know a Negative Nora. She’s the rejecter. The person who says; “That’s never worked before.” The stick in the mud who complains about having muddy shoes.


If you suspect you are turning in to a Negative Nora, let’s pull you out of the mud and help you improve your thinking on your feet, Emma-style.


Lesson one… accept all offers

If you feel yourself automatically going to say no; surprise yourself and say yes. Accept all offers. Experiment with being open minded. You’ll love it – I promise!


Lesson two… Yes… But

How many times a day do you say “YES! But…”


It seems as if you’re all for ideas, but then the resistance, negativity and blocking behaviour starts.


How much better would it be to be a “YES! And…” kind of person? This does not mean you need to agree with everything that others say, but it does mean that they know you are listening and you can build on their ideas.


Keeping your mind open and accepting all offers are both skills that enable you to share your knowledge, improvise and prosper.
